Social Media Coordinator

Position Description:

AME is looking for a self-sufficient and highly motivated Social Media Coordinator to join our team! They will work directly with the marketing directors to curate, create, and post content to our various social media platforms as well as working to expand our following! As we are a relatively new organization, this position is a part-time volunteer position with potential compensation in the future. 

 

This position is great for someone who wants to build their marketing portfolio and contribute to make a difference through music education!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and share original content on our various social media platforms.

  • Use Facebook Business Suite and Google Drive to create and distribute content.

  • Produce copy that emphasizes AME’s initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and resources.

  • Work directly with the AME Marketing team to grow our following and reach.

  • Other related duties as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)

  • A graphic design eye (Canva or any other graphic design software) and social media experience (preferred)

  • Fluency or working knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, Khmer, or other language highly desired (preferred)

  • Strong communication, multitasking, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Access to reliable internet and computer use

  • Ability to attend, at the minimum, bi-weekly AME Team meetings, and in-person programming in Lowell, MA (COVID-19 regulations and guidelines permitting) 

  • Ability to commit 3 - 6 hours per week towards this role

Choir Director 

Position Description:

AME is looking for a dedicated and passionate candidate to become the full time Choir Director for the AME Community Choir. The Director of the AME Community Choir will oversee weekly choir rehearsals. They will also be responsible for the coordination of rehearsals, scheduling, repertoire and resource selection in collaboration with the Community Choir Manager, and the AME administration. This position is paid a quarterly stipend.

 

Requirements and Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitating weekly choir rehearsals

  • Choosing appropriate repertoire for performances 

  • Instructing vocal warm ups before rehearsals and performances

  • Collaborating with the choir manager

  • Engaging in the community to recruit new members 

  • Experience directing/conducting choir is required 

  • Exhibits responsibility, organization, and reliability

  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, a commitment to accessibility, and a high level of personability 

Community Music Program  Coordinator

Position Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and self-sufficient Community Music Program Coordinator to join the Allies in Music Education (AME) Team! This individual will be responsible for taking part in the design and implementation of our Community Music Program. This is a part-time volunteer based position, with potential compensation likely, moving forward. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position is hybrid and will require the ability to be available for both remote and in-person work. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with AME’s Executive Director, Community Relations Director, and the rest of the AME Team to develop the organization’s community music program 

  • Oversee the development of the AME Community Music curriculum 

  • Coordinate with the Lowell Public Schools, and other public and/or private schools or institutions 

  • Coordinate with community leaders and city organizers 

  • Other related duties as needed 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required

  • Previous experience with community music (preferred)  

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Access to reliable Internet and computer use

  • Ability to attend, at the minimum, bi-weekly AME Team meetings, and in-person programming in Lowell, MA (COVID-19 regulations and guidelines permitting) 

  • Ability to commit 5-8 hours per week towards this role

Website Manager

Position Description:

AME is looking for a volunteer Website Manager to update the AME website with information about our initiatives, resources, and general updates. This position is great for someone who wants to build their website portfolio and contribute to make a difference through music education!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organization's website using Wix.

  • Collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards.

  • Other related duties as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)

  • An eye for design (make sure the website abides to the branding guidelines and is visually appealing)

  • Copy writing experience

  • Fluency or working knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, Khmer, or other language highly desired (preferred)

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Access to reliable internet and computer use

  • Ability to attend, at the minimum, bi-weekly AME Team meetings, and occasional (rare for this position) in-person programming in Lowell, MA (COVID-19 regulations and guidelines permitting) 

  • Ability to commit 2 - 4 hours per week towards this role

Fundraising Manager

Position Description:

AME is looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and self-sufficient Financial/Fundraising Manager to join the Allies in Music Education (AME) Team! This individual will be responsible for building a strong foundation of financial support for our growing organization. Responsibilities will include developing AME’s fundraising plan, writing and submitting grants, as well as strengthening our donor acquisition, retention, and management efforts. This position is a part-time, volunteer-based position with possible future compensation as our organization grows. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position is fully remote at this time. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with AME’s Executive Director, Community Relations Director, and Marketing Team to develop the organization’s fundraising plans and goals.

  • Oversee and implement all direct mail fundraising activities (including building mailing lists, and coordinating with the Marketing Team, etc.).

  • Oversee and implement all digital fundraising activities, including coordination and development of digital platforms (i.e. online giving, social media, PayPal, GoFundMe, etc...)

  • Develop and manage AME’s donor CRM system.

  • Research and write grants on behalf of AME. 

  • Develop and implement donor stewardship plans.

    • Communicate and assist with gift entry, gift making, and thank you processes as needed to ensure timely entry and donor acknowledgements

  • Other duties as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required

  • Previous experience with fundraising and grant writing required

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Access to reliable Internet and computer use

  • Ability to attend, at the minimum, bi-weekly AME Team meetings

  • Ability to commit 3-6 hours per week towards this role
